As a “Center of Excellence” and through its connection to the digital engineering faculty of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) and the University of Potsdam, the HPI Academy guarantees the best training and further education formats with academic standards. It maps the knowledge transfer on all relevant future and innovation topics and qualifies professionals for the challenges of tomorrow. In our learning model, we build on the research of the Hasso Plattner Institute and in particular that of our colleague Mana Taheri.

The offerings of the HPI Academy are based on a sound scientific learning model
In 2016, Taheri, Unterholzer, Hölzle and Meinel* recommended a multidimensional learning model based on the learning model of Kraiger, Ford and Salas** when it comes to acquiring design thinking skills. Such a multidimensional learning model means that learning takes place on several levels and changes in the learner take place on a cognitive (in terms of knowledge acquisition), affective (in terms of attitudes and values) and skill-based level. According to Taheri et al. for the development of design thinking skills, these skill-based, affective and cognitive learning outcomes are equally important and strongly interlinked. Our many years of experience in science and practice show that it is precisely the combination of these areas that provides the necessary foundation for acquiring advanced skills in the field of transformation and innovation.
